Our Grantmaking Program

Thank you for your inquiry about the grantmaking program of The Christopher Reynolds Foundation. Since 1995, the Foundation has been steadily increasing its support of work that focuses on:

  • U.S. relations with Cuba; and
  • needs in Cuba as defined by Cubans themselves.

In March 2001, our Directors decided to phase out all other domestic grantmaking and concentrate the resources of the Foundation solely on our Cuba effort.

Before You Submit a Proposal

You may feel free to contact our office via telephone, fax or email to introduce yourself and your organization’s program or project to The Christopher Reynolds Foundation. Should your introductory document meet our goals for grantmaking, we will be happy to talk with you about submitting a formal proposal. Your query letter or summary, however, should not exceed three typewritten pages. Please be advised that the Foundation does not accept full-length proposals that have not been requested by our staff and approved for receipt by the Executive Director.

NOTE: The Christopher Reynolds Foundation, Inc., as a rule, does not support overhead costs* associated with projects and programs receiving financial assistance/grants.

(*Where overhead costs are an unavoidable and required component of certain organizations seeking financial support from the Foundation, the Foundation will determine what, if any, overhead terms might be acceptable.)
