Board of Directors

 

At present, the Foundation's Board of Directors includes:

  • Dr. Michael Kahn of California, a teacher, psychologist and author. Dr. Kahn is the the Foundation's president emeritus. He has been a member of the board since the Foundation's beginning.

  • John R. Boettiger, Ph.D., is president pro tem of the Foundation. He lives in Norway, is a psychologist and professor of psychology, founding faculty member of Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts, and editor of the online Reckonings: A Journal of Justice, Hope and History. Dr. Boettiger joined the board in 1974, and serves also as the Foundation's treasurer.

  • Suzanne Derrer, New Mexico, an artist and crafter, has been a board vice-president since 1986.

  • Virginia Kahn, California, a registered nurse with a specialty in hospice care, joined the board in 2003.

  • Andrea Panaritis, Executive Director, New York. Ms. Panaritis joined the Foundation in 1985 and serves as the board's secretary and assistant treasurer.

 

Robert Vitarelli, Assistant to Ms. Panaritis, manages the Foundation’s offices. He has been with the Foundation since 1998.
